Who is responsible

Raftervio is responsible for the personal data described here (the data controller). Contact us about privacy at hello@raftervio.site.

What we collect

When you use the contact form or email us, we collect what you choose to send: usually your name, email address, phone number, business name, the city and state you work from and your message.

When you use the Brief Builder, nothing is sent to us. The plan is created in your browser and stays on your device unless you choose to send it.

When you visit the site, our hosting provider's servers record standard technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time, in server logs used for security and to keep the site running.

To protect the contact form from abuse, we use one short-lived session cookie on the contact page and, for each message that passes the form's checks, keep a temporary record linked to a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address. See the cookies page.

We do not use advertising cookies, third-party analytics or tracking pixels on this site.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry and discuss a possible project
  • To prepare a plan or quote you asked for
  • To keep the site and the contact form secure and prevent spam
  • To meet legal obligations, such as keeping business records

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Who receives it

Your message is delivered to our mailbox through our email provider. Our hosting provider stores server logs. These providers process data on our behalf to run the site and email. We may also disclose information if required by law. Ask us and we will tell you which providers we use and where your data is stored.

How long we keep it

  • Inquiries and related emails: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together, in which case we keep project records as long as needed for the work and for legal and tax purposes
  • Form abuse records: removed once they are 24 hours old, each time a message is submitted
  • Contact page session cookie: expires when you close your browser
  • Server logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention settings

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it or delete it, by emailing hello@raftervio.site. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm your identity first.

Some US state privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, give residents specific rights, but they apply only to businesses that meet certain thresholds. For example, the CCPA revenue threshold is $26,625,000 in annual gross revenue as adjusted from January 1, 2025.1 We do not claim that any particular state law applies to us. Whether or not one does, we will honor reasonable requests to access, correct or delete your information.

Security

The site uses HTTPS. The contact form uses protections against forged submissions and automated spam. Access to inquiries is limited to the people who need them to reply. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as financial account details through the form.

Children

This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
