Accessibility Statement

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to read our guides, use the Brief Builder and contact us, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

The standard we aim for

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. We treat it as a practical target and keep working on it.

What we have done

  • Semantic headings and landmarks so screen reader users can move through the page structure
  • A "skip to main content" link at the top of every page
  • Visible focus outlines for keyboard users
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and empty alternatives for decorative ones
  • Form fields with visible labels and clear error messages that keep what you typed
  • Color contrast checked for body text, buttons and text over photos
  • Tap targets sized for touch screens
  • Tables that reflow into labeled cards on small screens and can be scrolled with the keyboard
  • Respect for the reduced motion setting on your device
  • No autoplaying audio or video

Known limitations

  • Some external sites we link to, such as government agencies, may not meet the same standard.
  • The illustrative design concepts are presented as images with text descriptions; the small text inside them is decorative.

How we test

We check pages with keyboard-only navigation, browser zoom up to 200 percent, automated accessibility checkers and screen reader spot checks. Automated tools do not catch everything, so we also review pages manually.

Report a barrier

If something on this site is hard to use, please tell us. Email hello@raftervio.site with the page address and a short description of the problem. If you need information from a page in a different format, ask and we will help.
